Dr. Newman grew up in east central Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota Veterinary School in 1998. She started her career doing Dairy and Equine medicine for the first few years and then transitioned to small animals. She joined Homestead Veterinary Clinic in October 2016. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, infectious disease, dermatology and poultry medicine. Dr. Newman lives in Star Prairie on their family dairy farm with her husband, two kids, 8 cats, 2 horses, a dog and a bunch of chickens. In her spare time, Dr. Newman enjoys horseback riding and mountain hikes.
